MARK SCARLETT - Born in 1968 in Auckland, Mark always had a fascination with the arts.
From an early age he has put an intense infliction into his work, drawing on personal experiences to express a multitude of emotions.
Mark is a contemporary expressionist exploring a diverse range of subject and media applications with a dialogue of political and social issues.
Applying a varied palette Mark looks to provoke thought through the inventiveness of his own aspect on this subject matter, some of which can be both disturbing and beautiful at the same time.
Mark resides in the town of Te Puke in the Bay of Plenty with his partner and muse Cheryl. Together they have transformed a block of land into a magnificent sculpture garden and wedding/function venue with park like grounds and avocado orchard attracting a multitude of New Zealand bird life.
In such an idyllic setting Mark works full-time exploring and creating his life long passion art.
